Old Erwin Town Hall

Pierce & Bickford was an American architect partnership of Joseph H. Pierce (born 1855)[1] and H. H. Bickford, based in Elmira, New York, that was active during 1890–1930.[2]

A number of their works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.[3]

They were among the co-founders of the Chemung County Historical Society.

  • A. F. Chapman House Watkins Glen, NY, north side turret added to house in 1902
  • One or more works in Athens Historic District, Roughly bounded by Elm and Locust Sts., 772 S. Main St., and the Chemung and Susquehanna River Athens, PA (Bickford, Pierce), NRHP-listed
  • Arnot Art Museum, the Picture Gallery by the Pierce and Bickford architectural firm in the 1890s
  • Chemung Canal Bank Building, renovation of 1903 by the Pierce and Bickford architectural firm
  • Clifton Springs Sanitarium, 11 and 9 E. Main St Clifton Springs, NY (Pierce & Bickford), NRHP-listed
  • One or more works in Clifton Springs Sanitarium Historic District, E. Main St. between Crane and Prospect Clifton Springs, NY (Pierce & Bickford), NRHP-listed
