Pierre André Prévost de La Prévostière

Pierre André Prévost de La Prévostière was Governor General of Pondicherry.[1] At his time the main interests of the France was only commercial rather than political. So, no significant events occurred during his tenure. His Successor, Pierre Christoph Le Noir was a very able governor and actual development of Pondicherry started from him.
