Porfirio is a 2011 Colombian drama film directed by Alejandro Landes.[1][2] The film premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and subsequently screened at other festivals including Toronto and Maryland.
The film is based on the real-life story of Porfirio Ramirez, who is cast to play himself. Porfirio is paraplegic after being shot by a rogue police officer.[3] The film won the Golden Peacock Award for Best Film at the 42nd International Film Festival of India.[4]
