Powałczyn [pɔˈvau̯t͡ʂɨn] (German: Powalczin, in 1938 germanized to Schönhöhe)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świętajno, within Szczytno County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[2] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Świętajno, 17 km (11 mi) north-east of Szczytno, and 48 km (30 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
