Prathama UP Gramin Bank, sponsored by Punjab National Bank came into existence with the amalgamation of two erstwhile RRBs, viz Prathama Bank and Sarva UP Gramin Bank vide Govt. of India notifcation no. 853 dated 22.02.2019 under section 21 of the RRB Act 1976 with its Head Offce at Moradabad. The area of operation of the Bank is spread over Twenty districts of U.P. state viz. Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Badaun, Gonda, Balrampur, Shamli, Hapur, Amroha, Rampur, Moradabad and Sambhal. It has one branch at Laldang (District Haridwar) in Uttarakhand State also. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance , Government of India
