Priya Sachdev Kapur (born 1977) is a businesswoman who has founded high fashion boutiques in several Indian cities as well as an e-commerce fashion business.[2][3]

Sachdev is the group director, corporate communications internal and external of SONA Group. She is also the managing director of SONA Autocomp Holding Pvt. Ltd.[4]

Sachdev founded TSG International Marketing Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of luxury boutique "Kitsch", with a pan-India presence.[5][6]

Early life[]

Sachdev was born on 15 December 1977 to Pinky Sachdev and Ashok Sachdev. She has a sister, Charu Sachdev, and two brothers Hans Sachdev, and Harpreet Sachdev.[7][8]

Sachdev graduated with a BSc. double major mathematics with business management from the University College of London (UCL) in 1999. Her foundational years were spent at The British School, New Delhi, where she completed her A levels in mathematics, biology, and art.[2]

Career[]

Sachdev begun her career as an investment banking analyst – M&A at UK industries at Credit Suisse First Boston in London. She continued there till March 2002. By the end of this year, she returned from UK to India and joined her family business TSG Pvt. Ltd., an automotive business dealership in North India for Ford, Hyundai, and Toyota.[7]

In 2003 Sachdev founded Harpreet Insurance PVT. Ltd. In 2008 she opened the multi-brand store, ‘Kitsch’ at DLF Emporio Mall in Delhi. She also launched luxury mono-brand boutiques for Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Stella McCartney, and ‘Marc by Marc Jacob’ in New Delhi. She also established Love Moschino at the UB City Mall, Bangalore.[7]

In 2014 Sachdev along with her sister, Charu founded the e-commerce venture - "Rock N Shop".[5][9] In 2017 she took on the position of managing director at Sona Autocomp Holding Private Limited. In 2018 she assumed her position at the helm as group director, corporate communications internal & external, Sona Group.[10]

Personal life[]

In 2006, Sachdev married Vikram Chatwal in New Delhi. They separated in 2011 but are parents to a daughter Safira Sachdev. In 2017, Sachdev married Sunjay J. Kapur. She and Kapur have a son Azarias Kapur[11][12]
