The Protea Cup is a semi professional rugby league competition in South Africa and is the second division of South Africa. The current holders are the TUKS Blues, after winning the 2013-14 season against the Middelburg Tigers in the grand final. During the 2013-14 season, the and the withdrew from the competition 3 weeks before the final round.
