Qoryoley (Maay: Qornyooley, Somali: Qoryooley, Arabic: قوريولي) is a city in southern Somalia. It is located in the Lower Shebelle region.

Qoryoley is large District it has 175 villages...

The Disctrict Mayor after the Fall of Siyad Government was Abdirahmaan Sheikh Mohamed Khadi (ShaamQoryoley.) Who was the youngest Mayor of somali Mayors of 2007 in the era of presdent Abudllahi Yusuf.

In 2018 a Somali government position in Qoryoley was attacked by Al-Shabab militants, resulting in the deaths of two militants.[1] a

Demographics[]

Qoryoley has a population of around 62,700.[2] The broader Qoriyoley District has a total population of 134,205.[3] The majority of Qoryoley residents are Garre or Karre Tuuf and Quraanyoowe. and Some Duubane and Jiidi present in the west of the District.
