Qutbi Brothers is an Indian musical group by Haji Mohammad Idris and Arshad Hussain. Qutbi Brothers are one of the most renowned qawwals in the contemporary Indian music scenario. They are well known qawwals for their distinct traditional style, aastana gayki and Divine singing.

History[]

Qutbi Brothers (Idris Qutbi) are having a legacy lineage of hundreds of years of great stalwarts, many of whom were great classical singers of the country apart from being qawwali singers. Haji Mohammad Idris and Mohammad Ilyas are the darbari singers at the mausoleum (dargah) of Hazrat Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki (RA) in Delhi, where they have been given the eponymous prestige of calling themselves the Qutbi.

Career[]

In their career, Qutbi Brothers started singing at a very early age and today they are one of thee biggest qawwals. The Qutbi brothers are well-respected for creating a World Record for a non-stop 12-hour sufiana qawwali singing, supported by the Sangeet Natak Akademi to promote qawwali. This record has been included and published in Limca Book of Records 2019 edition for their contribution. Qutbi Brothers have earned the Top Grade level of artistry as recognised by All India Radio. They are also even empaneled artist and have Outstanding artists at the ICCR. Their performances include the most illustrious national as well as international platforms. Their Divine voice has graced musical events and platforms in India and around the world.

Social Work[]

Along with live performing, Qutbi Brothers associated with various social works. They perform live for various social causes to raise funds. In 2018 they performed for a fundraiser event for the unprivileged children organized by Salaam Baalak Trust. They recently performed in Gujrat at a fundraiser to support 40 CRPF Braveheart's Families of Pulwama Terror Attack.
