Plot[]
Rambabu (Rajendra Prasad) is an innocent guy, his strong belief is that he will marry apsara Rambha, for which everyone heckles at him. On one side, his mother Jankamma (Kakinada Shymala) looks matches and on the other side, his maternal uncle Garalakantam (Suthi Velu) wants to make his daughter Chittitalli's (Sridevi) marriage with him to grab his property. By the statements of their temple priest (Sakshi Ranga Rao), Rambabu does a huge penance, brings Rambha (Parijaata) to earth and both of them get married with the blessing of Sage Narada (Chandra Mohan). But Janakamma does not believe it, so, she plans along with Garalakantam to separate them in many ways that fail. After a few funny incidents, once Rambha & Rambabu insult Sage Narada, then he cleverly reveals their marriage secret to Lord Indra and makes him keep Rambha in prison. Rambabu, with his willpower, reaches heaven, defeats Indra and gets back Rambha. Eventually, Rambabu also goes to hell where he secretly observes the court held by Yama Dharma Raju (Dasari Narayana Rao) and reads the sins of the human. After returning to earth, he reveals it to the public and also tells remedies. Therefore, no sinners enter into hell. Sage Narada induces Yama towards Indra and war begins between them. But they realize that Rambha & Rambabu are responsible for this deed, so, they call them to heaven. Here, Indra tries to punish Rambabu, Rambha obstructs his way and confronts him. So, Indra makes Rambha into a statue when Rambabu goes into shock. Surprisingly, all this was shown as Rambabu's dream. Now Jankamma forcibly makes his marriage arrangements. Fortunately, the bride is the same girl whom he has seen in the dream. So, finally, Rambabu happily marries her.
