Ramiro Enrique Paz (born 4 May 2001) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Banfield.[1][3]

Club career[]

Enrique progressed through the youth ranks of Banfield.[4] On 25 July 2019, Enrique signed his first professional contract; penning terms for three years.[2] He was promoted into the club's senior squad under manager Javier Sanguinetti at the beginning of 2021, having only previously been called up to train with them; notably featuring in a friendly in October 2020 against Talleres.[5][6] He was selected on the substitute's bench for a Copa de la Liga Profesional match at home to Racing Club on 12 February, with the forward subsequently making his debut after coming on to replace Luciano Pons with seventeen minutes remaining.[1]

International career[]

Enrique received call-ups at U18 level from Argentina in 2019.[7][8][9]

Personal life[]

Enrique is the son of 1986 FIFA World Cup winner Héctor Enrique.[7][10][11] His uncle, Carlos, also played professional football.[7] He also has two brothers, Fernando and Facundo, who are also sportsmen; in football and rugby, respectively.[7]
