Ramon Bejarano (born July 17, 1969) is an American priest of the Catholic Church. He serves as auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of San Diego.

Biography[]

Bejarano was born in Seagraves, Texas on July 17, 1969. He lived in Chihuahua, Mexico from 1969 to 1987. He holds a Master of Philosophy from the Diocesan Seminary of Tijuana and a Master of Divinity from Mount Angel Abbey. On August 15, 1998, Bejarano was ordained to the priesthood. He is incardinated in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Stockton.[1]

Episcopal career[]

Pope Francis appointed Bejarano auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of San Diego on February 27, 2020.[1] [2] Bejarano's consecration as bishop, initially scheduled for April 21, 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was consecrated on July 14, 2020, in a liturgy celebrated in English, Spanish, and Latin.[3]
