Ramsay G. Najjar
Ramsay George Najjar (26 July 1952 – 19 November 2020) was a Lebanese business executive, journalist, and writer.[1] He was the founder of Saatchi & Saatchi Levant where also served as a chief executive officer.[2][3] He also founded Strategic Communication Consultancy (S2C) where served as the managing partner.[4][5] He also served as the head of the Lebanese Syndicate of Advertising Agencies (LSAA).[6]
Education[]
Najjar received his Bachelors of Arts in Comparative Literature and Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the American University of Beirut.[7][8]
Career[]
Najjar was known for his contribution to the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts.[9] He was also known for his books such as Arab Philosophy Through History (published 1977), So That God Comes Back to Lebanon and The Right Not to Remain Silent.[2][10]
In 1992, Najjar established Saatchi & Saatchi Lebanon branch.[11]
In 2002, he established Strategic Communication Consultancy (S2C), a strategic communication consultancy firm.[11]
Death[]
He died from COVID-19 complications in Beirut on 19 November 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Lebanon.[8] After his death, Elie Jabre, chief executive officer of DDB Lebanon tributed Ramzi for his contributions to the advertising industry in Lebanon.[12]
