Raymond Poïvet

Raymond Poïvet (17 June 1910 – 30 August 1999) was a French cartoonist.

Poïvet was born in Le Cateau-Cambrésis, Nord.

After studies in École des Beaux-Arts of Paris, he started in comics in 1941. In 1945 he joined the communist French comics weekly magazine , which was renamed Pif in 1969. He created the first and longest running French science-fiction comics: , which lasted until 1973. The scenarios were written by Roger Lecureux. Meanwhile, he also drew for other comics and feminine magazines: Colonel X in Coq hardi, Mam'zelle Nitouche in L'Humanité, and Guy Lebleu in Pilote.

In 1947 Raymond Poivet published in Italian and in the Italian magazine "Il Moschettiere" a tale in several episodes named: I Pionieri della Speranza (Les Pionniers de l'Espérance) from nr 21 to nr 24 of the magazine "Il Moschettiere" (1947).

In 1947 Raymond Poivet published in Italian and in the Italian magazine "Il Pioniere dei Ragazzi" a tale in several episodes named: I Pionieri della Speranza (Les Pionniers de l'Espérance) from nr 25 to nr 35 of the magazine "Il Pioniere dei Ragazzi" (1947).

In 1948 Raymond Poivet published in Italian and in the Italian magazine "Noi Ragazzi" a tale in several episodes named: I Pionieri della Speranza (Les Pionniers de l'Espérance) from nr 1 to nr 49 of the magazine "Noi Ragazzi" (1948).

In 1968 Raymond Poivet published in Italian and in the Italian magazine "Pioniere Noi Donne" a tale in several episodes named: I Pionieri della Speranza (Les Pionniers de l'Espérance) from nr 11 to nr 28 of the magazine "Pioniere Noi Donne" (1968).

Poïvet died on 30 August 1999 in Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure-et-Loir).
