Rebecca Stephany, born 28 December 1980 in Wittlich, is a German artist and professor for communication design at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Sandberg Institut in Amsterdam with a scholarship by the Rijksakademie Amsterdam. In 2013 Rebecca Stephany visited the Bard College in New York, as a guest artist.
She gained broader recognition for her development of the Glossary of Undisciplined Design,[1] a pioneering work in the German sphere of feminist graphic design, which she developed together with her colleague Anja Kaiser, awarded with the INFORM price for conceptual design[2] by the GFZK in 2019.
