Regatta is an English family-owned outdoor and leisure clothing company which has been established in Manchester since 1981. It competes with Karrimor, Peter Storm and Slazenger.

Products[]

Regatta's product line includes waterproof and breathable jackets, fleeces, trousers, footwear and camping equipment for men, women and children. Products include their heated jacket range[1] which featured on This Morning in 2019.[2]

As of January 2021 there are 1986 employees at the group working in 14 countries.[3]

Regatta bought the Hawkshead outdoor clothing stores in 2010.[4][5]

Awards[]

The company has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade on two occasions (2012 and 2013) due to its international growth.[6]

Charity Work[]

The brand became part of the EOCA in 2019, helping to support vital conservation efforts and projects across Europe and the rest of the world.[7]

In 2019 Regatta announced it was the official sponsor for The Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship fundraising event - Memory Walk.[8]

Regatta also partnered with a well-known animal charity in 2020. The brand created a specially curated collection of walking and dog products, with £30,000 +VAT going to the charity.[9]

Partnerships[]

The brand launched their first licensed partnership with Hasbro’s Peppa Pig. The range includes waterproof jackets, puddlesuits, wellies, fleeces and much more. The new collection will debut in Spring 2021 and promote young children getting outdoors.[10]

Celebrity Ambassadors[]

Regatta have had a variety of celebrity ambassadors over the years including Vogue Williams in 2016 and Alesha Dixon in 2018.[11]

Kimberley Walsh is the current ambassador for the brand, launching a collection of jackets and fleece in 2019. She is currently on her 4th season with the brand - after two winter and two summer seasons.[12]
