Rein Halbersma (8 March 1949 – 25 February 2021) was a Dutch painter from Friesland. In 1979 he started with painting with lessons from other painters. Halbersma painted in oil paint. His works were animals, especially horses and cows, landscapes and portraits. He had exhibitions in the Frisian Agricultural Museum in Goutum and cultural center "De Skierstins" in Veenwouden.[1] On 18 September 2020, a book was published about his paintings in celebration of his 40th anniversary as a painter.[2]

Halbersma died in Kollum on 25 February 2021, aged 71.[1]
