Remus Câmpeanu (8 September 1938 – 3 April 2021) was a Romanian footballer who played as a left-back for Universitatea Cluj.[1][3] He was also Universitatea Cluj's president from 1975 until 1989.[5] His nephew Septimiu Câmpeanu was also a footballer who played at Universitatea Cluj.[5][6][7] On 13 May 2013, on Cluj Arena during the halftime of the match between Universitatea Cluj and CSMS Iași he received the title of Honorary Citizen of Cluj County - "Clujean of Honor".[8][9]
