Rich Kleiman (born November 27, 1976) is an American sports manager and businessman. A native New Yorker, he is Kevin Durant’s longtime manager as well as co-founder and business partner with Durant of Thirty Five Ventures. Founded in 2016, Thirty Five Ventures incorporates Kleiman & Durant's business entities, including Durant’s personal brand/marketing portfolio and on-court contracts; an investment portfolio; media and creative development arm; and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation.[1][2][3][4]

Thirty Five Venture[]

Kleiman oversees the Thirty Five Ventures' investment portfolio in over 70 companies, including , a sports network focused on young, digital-native sports fans; online digital-currency platform Coinbase, spare-change app Acorns, cloud-computing startup Rubrik, drink company WTRMLN WTR, fast-casual pizza chain Pieology, bike-sharing company LimeBike, delivery company Postmates, Dutchie, Dapper Labs/NBA Top Shot, PostmGoldin Auction and more. Forbes has called Kleiman a visionary with an "…established track records in starting companies, investing in emerging brands and in disrupting existing markets.”[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]

Other projects under the Thirty Five Ventures umbrella include Boardroom, a media network whose guests have included Jack Dorsey of Twitter, and David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs.[2][14] Boardroom offers unique insight into the business of sports and the mixture of sports, business and pop culture, bringing the audience into the boardroom. Additional Kleiman and Durant projects include the Academy Award-winning Two Distant Strangers (Netflix), and the scripted series Swagger (by Apple TV+); equity partnerships with premium audio brand Master & Dynamic and digital media network Just Women Sports; and a minority stake in the Philadelphia Union. Kevin Durant Charity Foundation[]

Kleiman also serves as the Executive Director of the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation, helping oversee the development and expansion of the Durant Center in Maryland’s Prince George’s County. KDCF has also partnered with the College Track program in its first DC area presence, and has built or refurbished over 25 basketball courts throughout the globe.[19]

Roc Nation Sports[]

In 2013, Kleiman helped launch Roc Nation Sports, where he served as Vice President of the sports agency founded by Jay-Z. He worked with athletes such as Victor Cruz, CC Sabathia, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Robinson Cano, and more. Kleiman started with Roc Nation in 2008 as a music manager representing artists and DJ/Producers like D Nice, Mark Ronson, Solange, Wale, and Meek Mill.[20][21][22] Kleiman’s career in entertainment began at Radical Media, where he was a music supervisor, as well as a producer on projects such as Jay-Z’s feature-length documentary Fade To Black. Personal life[]

Kleiman married Jana Ilyse Gold in November 2003. They are parents to two girls, Bella and Olivia. Kleiman’s family resides in Manhattan, New York, where he grew up.[23]
