Rima Raminfar (Persian: ریما رامینفر, also Romanized as Rimā Rāminfar; born March 25, 1970) is an Iranian actor and screenwriter.[1] She has got an M.A. in theater directing. She started acting in theatre in 1997 by playing in 'night, Mother theater show written by Marsha Norman.[2] She entered cinema in 2002 by playing in Nan va eshgh va motor 1000 movie. Rima Raminfar is married to Amir Jafari, who is an Iranian actor, and they have one son.[3][4]
Life[]
From an early age, she was very enthusiastic to study in an art major such as theater, or to study in Iran Broadcasting University. She has got a BA in drama, and also MA in theater directing.
Rima Raminfar entered university in 1992. Her first professional play was “Night, Mother” in City Theater of Tehran, written by Marsha Norman, in 1996. After that, she has played in numerous theater shows and also directed many theaters continuously. Winter 66, Dance of torn papers, one minute silence, The same as ever, Whisper of the dead, The dog’s heart, and So till to tomorrow are some of her significant performances.[5]
Career[]
As soon as she entered university, Rima Raminfar became involved with theatre and she has become interested in play-writing. Her first drama writing was titled So till tomorrow and played in Fajr Theater festival winning the third award of play writing.
Her role play in Capital series (Paytakht) was one of Rima Raminfar’s significant role playing. This series is one of popular series which broadcast in Iran television channel from 2011. Her role play, “Homa”, is one of the main characters of this series which produced in 5 seasons till today.
