The Rio Sul Center Tower,[3][5] also known as Rio Sul Tower, is the fourteenth tallest building in Brazil and the tallest building in Rio de Janeiro at 164 metres (538 ft) and 50 floors, 48 above ground and 2 below. The structure contains 28 elevators[6] It was completed in 1982.[5]
The building was designed by architects and Alexandre Chan in the Brutalist architectural style.[7] The tower, together with a 400 stores shopping mall called Riosul Shopping Center, form a commercial complex known as Rio Sul Center.
