River Road Independent School District

River Road Independent School District is a public school district based in rural north central Potter County, Texas (USA).

The district serves the north central and parts of northeast Potter County, including those portions of Amarillo located north of Loop 335.

Colors: Purple/Gold

Mascot: The Wildcat

Sports: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Cross Country, Track, Golf

Clubs:NHS, FFA, Cosmetology, Welding Programs, Student Council, Prom Committee, CNA

Academics: In the school year 2018-2019 RRISD was rated a overall “B” by the Texas Education Agency[1]

In 2009 RRISD was rated “academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]
