Robert Clifford (8 March 1752 – 18 April 1811) was an English cricketer who made 71 known appearances in first-class cricket matches from 1777 to 1792.[1][2]

Clifford was an all-rounder who is believed to have bowled right arm slow although he was a left-handed batsman.[3] He was mainly associated with Kent sides, including both East and West Kent as well as sides put together by leading Kent patrons of the day.[1] He also played for England sides, Hampshire sides and the Marylebone Cricket Club.

Clifford was born at Bearsted in Kent in 1752 and died in the same village in 1811 aged 59.[2] His two grandsons, William Clifford and Francis Clifford, also played cricket for Kent teams.[1]
