Robert Shapard

Robert Shapard, Ph.D., is a former managing editor of Western Humanities Review. His short fiction has been published in literary magazines, and he has received a . He teaches literature and fiction writing at the University of Hawaii. Robert Shapard has been the editor with his colleague James Thomas of a number of short-short story and flash fiction anthologies, including , and Sudden Fiction (Continued). Shapard wrote "The Remarkable Reinvention of Very Short Fiction," which serves as the introduction to a special section on flash fiction for the September–October 2012 issue of World Literature Today.
