Rokytno is a municipality and village in Pardubice District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 900 inhabitants.

Villages of Bohumileč and Drahoš are administrative parts of Rokytno.
History[]
The place is first mentioned in written document in 1436. Its name is derived from willows (rokytí) growing in swampy areas. During the 18th century, the village, together with Chvojenec and Býšť, was the centre of persecuted religious sect of Deists called blouznivci. The first school was built in 1794.
Village of Bohumileč existed before the 15th century. Its name comes from Bohu milí (loved by God).
Village of Drahoš was set up during the rule of Joseph II. Since 1782, it was settled by German-speaking farmers from around Kladsko area and Lower Silesia. It is named after personal name Drahoslav.
Nature[]
The nature reservation Přesypy u Rokytna (0.07 km²) is a unique area of sand dunes.
