"Route 246" (pronounced "route two forty-six") is a song released by Japanese idol group Nogizaka46. The song was released digitally only on July 24, 2020.[2] It was written by Yasushi Akimoto and composed by Tetsuya Komuro. Asuka Saito served as the center position of this song.[3]

Background and release[]

"Route 246" was released two months after "Sekaijū no Rinjin yo", and was also released digitally only.[3] The song was the first song composed by Tetsuya Komuro since his retirement from the music industry in 2018.[4][5]

The full song was played for the first time on the Japanese radio program Nogizaka46's All Night Nippon on July 22,[6] and performed on TV Asahi's Music Station.

The full version of music video was released only in the group's video album, All MV Colletction 2: Ano Toki no Kanojotachi.[7]
