Royal Destroyer is the eleventh studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band The Crown, which was released by Metal Blade Records on 12 March 2021. The album came a month and a half after the release of a single "Motordeath", which came out on 14 January 2021.[1]

Release[]

The group revealed that their studio will publish 180g black vinyls and a limited edition of 400 of midnight blue marbled vinyls, exclusively for Europe. The group also issued a limited edition consisting of 400 total red-hot orange marbled vinyls and golden clear with blue and white splatter spot vinyl, for the European market. For the United States, the group issued violet blue marbled vinyl, a total of 100 copies.[2] Royal Destroyer also was released in Japan where it was published by Avalon/Marquee.[3]

Dom Lawson of Metal Hammer said that "if it's subtlety you're after look elsewhere – The Crown's Royal Destroyer is death metal the way it should be: bloody, brutal and hard as f**k".[5]
