Runway 34 is an upcoming Indian thriller drama film directed and produced by Ajay Devgn. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan Rakul Preet Singh, Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh.[1][2]

It is scheduled to be theatrically released on 29 April 2022.[3]

Premise[]

The film is inspired by the true event of the Jet Airways Doha to Kochi flight 9W 555, a Boeing 737–800 aircraft that had a narrow escape on 18 August 2015, after facing difficulties to land at the Cochin International Airport due to bad weather and unclear visibility at 5:45 in the morning.[4]

The film was originally titled Mayday. The official announcement of the film was made on 7 November 2020[9][10] and principal photography began on 11 December 2020 in Hyderabad.[11][12] The film was wrapped up on 17 December 2021.[13][14]

Release[]

In November 2021, release date of the film with new title was announced as Runway 34.[15]
