Rusli Noor (born 1 May 1927)^[1] of Indonesia, was secretary general of ASEAN from 1989 to 1993.^[2] He also served as Executive Director of the APEC secretariat in 1994.^[3] He earned an MA in political science from Columbia University.^{[citation needed]} He served as Indonesia's ambassador to Norway and Denmark.^[4]
