Rustom Sohrab Rustomji

Rustom Sohrab Rustomji (born 30 August 1917, Karachi[1]) was an architect in Pakistan.[2]

Career[]

Institute of Architects,Pakistan[]

In the 1950s, he along with 10 other practising architects including two foreigners; M. A. Ahed, , , Pir Mohammad, Abdulhusein M. Thariani, , Mehdi Ali Mirza, , Bloomfield and , formed the Institute of Architects, Pakistan.[2][3][4] He signed the Institute's Memorandum of Association.[5]

Before 1947[]

In late 1943, he became the state architect of Bikaner.[1]

After 1947[]

In 1947, after independence was announced, he was offered a partnership in the firm, in Karachi and moved back to the city.[1] He remained with the firm ever since.
