S. S. Khandare is an Indian police officer who is currently serving as Director general of police of Ladakh.[1][2] He is a 1995 batch IPS officer of J&K cadre.[3]

Career[]

He has graduated from Govt College of Engineering, Pune 05 in the year 1992. On October 31, Khandare has been appointed first "Head of Police" of the Union Territory of Ladakh.[4][5] Ladakh became a Union Territory on 31 October 2019.[6]
