SR Corporation (Korean: 에스알, formerly Suseo High Speed Rail Corporation),[2][3] also known as Supreme Railways,[4] is a South Korean rail operator that operates high-speed rail services. It manages three stations and its trains call at 17 stations.[5]
History[]
- Dec 2013 : Establishment of Suseo High Speed Rail Corporation(수서고속철도주식회사, 水西高速鐵道株式會社)[6]
- June 2014 : Change of company name to SR Corporation
- July 2014 : Joined The Korea Railway Association
- Dec 2016 : Started running SRT(Super Rapid Train) [7]
- Feb 2019 : Categorized as a Public Enterprise(준시장형 공공기관)
Services[]
The Super Rapid Train (SRT) is a high-speed rail service operated by SR.[8] The service currently consists of two routes, Suseo–Busan route and Suseo–Mokpo route.[9] The ticket price is around 10% lower than KTX on average.[10] The SRT(Super Rapid Train) runs the Seoul-Busan route 8 minutes faster than KTX.
