Salvinu Schembri (19 October 1923 – 15 December 2008) was a professional footballer, during his career he played for Sliema Wanderers, Valletta and Ħamrun Spartans, where he played as a midfielder. He also played in full international matches for the Malta national football team.

Death[]

Salvinu died on 15 December 2008, at the age of 85, his funeral was held two days later on 17 December 2008.^[1]

Schembri is the father of Mdina Knights Technical Director and former Gżira United and Malta international striker Eric Schembri.^[2] He is the grandfather of Omonia Nicosia and Malta international attacking midfielder André Schembri.
