Vinnakota Sameer (also called Sameer) is an Indian actor from Andhra Pradesh who predominantly appears in Telugu films and TV programs.

Early life[]

Sameer was born on 26 February 1973 in Visakhapatnam to a Muslim father Intikhab Hasan and Hindu mother Mahalakshmi. Since his parents shifted to Dubai while he was very young, he stayed with his grandparents and maternal uncle in Vizag. He completed his schooling from Kalakshetram in Chennai.

He has a sister named Purnima. As a child he used to take interest in acting, painting and sports.[1]

He studied B.Com. and B.B.M from Bullayya College in Vizag. He is married to Aparna. They are currently living in Hyderabad. Sameer and Aparna won the finals of Moguds Pellams, a TV program conducted by MAA TV for celebrity couples.[2]

Career[]

He has been acting in TV serials since Doordarshan days. He is known for playing a supporting role in one of the foremost popular Telugu TV serial Ruthu Ragalu. Sameer made his debut in the film Subha Sankalpam (1995), directed by K. Viswanath.[3]
