Samjhauta (film)

Samjhauta (English: Compromise) is a 1973 Bollywood drama film directed by Ajay Biswas, produced by Sundeep Sethi[1] starring Anil Dhawan, Yogeeta Bali, Ajitesh Bandopadhyay, Shatrughan Sinha, Pradeep Kumar in the lead roles.[2] Kalyanji-Anandji composed the music for the film.

All songs were composed by Kalyanji Anandji. Indeevar wrote the lyrics.

The song "Samjautha Ghamon Se Kar Le" was made in two versions, male and female, sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar's was a huge hit.

The song "Badi Dur See Aaye Hain, Pyaar Kaa Tohfa Laaye Hain" by Mohd Rafi became benchmark song of the film. It was very popular during the movie release even till to date as an evergreen song. Whenever Mohd Rafi was on tour concert, he opened with this song.
