Samtse, near the Indian border town of Chamurchi, is a town in Samtse District, Bhutan. The population of the town was 5,396 as of 2017.[1] This is not to be confused with the district of Samtse, which the village of Samtse lies within. The population of the district was 60,100 at the 2005 census, and in 2010 was estimated at 65,387.[2]
