Samuel Calvert (21 November 1828 – 1 January 1913) was a British draughtsman, printer and painter active in Australia.[2] Calvert is also noted for his wood-engravings, published in contemporary periodicals.[3] William Samuel Calvert (1886–1900) was engaged in his father's printing business and continued its publications when Calvert was in England.[4] He was the third son of the painter Edward Calvert, and was the author of a memoir of his father published in a limited printing in 1893.[5]
