Samuel D. Wright (February 13, 1925 – January 20, 1998) was an American politician who served in the New York State Assembly from 1966 to 1973 and in the New York City Council from 1974 to 1978.[1][2]

He died of Parkinson's disease on January 20, 1998, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, at age 72.[3]
