Sara Hjalmarsson (born 9 February 1998) is a Swedish ice hockey player for the Providence College Friars women's ice hockey team and the Swedish national team.[1] She hails from Bankeryd, Sweden, where she attended Solna Gymnasium high school. She played for AIK IF in Sweden, before attending Providence College.[citation needed]
She participated at the 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship.[2]
As a forward with the Friars, she scored 17 goals, and 11 assists in the 2019-20 season, to lead the team in goals scored and tie for points. She was named the Hockey East Player of the Week on 2 December 2019, for having scored six points in the Friar's Mayor's Cup game against Brown College Bears, the most points in a game by any NCAA player to that point in the season.[3]
