Sara Pennypacker

Sara Pennypacker (born 1951) is a New York Times bestselling[1] American author of children's literature. She has written more than twenty children's books, including Pax, Summer of the Gypsy Moths, and the Clementine and Stuart series.[2]

Critical reception[]

She received a Christopher Award for Clementine's Letter and the Golden Kite Award for Pierre In Love.[3] She received Boston Globe and Horn Book awards for Clementine.[2]

Pax was one of ten books making the longlist for the National Book Award for Young People's Literature in 2016.[4] It was on The New York Times bestseller list for 54 weeks,[5] reaching #1.[6]
