Sarakinoi
Sarakinoi (Greek: Σαρακηνοί, before 1925: Σαρακίνοβο - Sarakinovo[1]) is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Aridaia in the western Pella regional unit, Greece. In 2011 its population was 351 for the village and 413 for the community, which includes the village Kato Koryfi.[2] Sarakinoi is located in the southeastern part of the Voras Mountains, at 640 m elevation. It is 5 km west of , 6 km south of , 11 km southwest of Aridaia and 15 km northwest of Edessa. Forests cover most of the area.

History[]
Ιn the early 1920s, 14 refugees (1,8% of the population) arrived from Anatolia during the Greco-Turkish War (1919–22), while 37 Slavic-speaking inhabitants (4,9%) moved mainly northward. In 1997, the community joined the municipality of Aridaia.
