Sasha McVeigh is a country singer/songwriter from Hereford, United Kingdom. Her debut album I Stand Alone was released in 2015.[1]
Music career[]
McVeigh started to sing professionally in July 2012 after she had finished Sixth Form College, and went to Nashville for two weeks to perform in a number of shows.[2][3]
McVeigh has played on the main stage at numerous festivals in the UK and USA, and was winner of UK Country Music Awards "UK Female Country Singer of the Year" in 2015.[4][5] She has supported Sonia Leigh on tour in the UK, as well as embarking on her own headline tours and opening for many more in the USA.
In 2016, McVeigh released a new single When I'm Over You, which had been recorded in Nashville in November 2015. The song was debuted by Bob Harris on his BBC Radio 2 show and was added to the Wild Country Playlist on Spotify, subsequently amassing over 500,000 streams in the first three weeks. The video premiered on the boot in July 2016.[3][6]
