The Saudi Alzheimer's Disease Association is the first association of its kind in Saudi Arabia that deals with Alzheimer's patients. The association was incorporated to undertake regulation of Charitable Institutions and Associations issued by the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 107 of 5 May 2009.[1] The association is located in the Saudi capital Riyadh, and it serves all regions of the kingdom.[2]

There are more than 130,000 Alzheimer's patients in Saudi Arabia.[3] The association aims to raise general awareness of Alzheimer's among Saudis, improving the standard of health and living of patients while supporting and encouraging them, operationalizing the partnership between philanthropists, encouraging research relating to Alzheimer's in both mental and medical sectors, and establishing a database of the disease and the patients.[4]
