Saurabh Shukla (born 1973) is an Indian news journalist and the founder and editor-in-chief of NewsMobile.[1] He has worked as an editor with TV Today, senior editor at India Today, diplomatic editor at Mail Today and chief diplomatic correspondent at Hindustan Times.
Education[]
Saurabh studied Masters in International Relations from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi during 1994–96. He also did his master's degree in Security Studies as a British Chevening Scholar as the University of Hull, UK during 1998–99.
Career[]
Saurabh worked with Aaj Tak during the initial years of his career.[2] He has interviewed global leaders, including Donald Trump in 2016,[3] and reported from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Sudan, and Nigeria in addition to India. Saurabh is a member of the India International Centre, a member of the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi and is a fellow at the 21st Century Trust, London. He is a former joint secretary and a former member of the Media Advisory Committee of the Parliament of India, Rajya Sabha.[1]
In 2014, Saurabh was quoted in an article on Dawood Ibrahim by The Hindu.[4] He was also quoted by The Guardian in an article on the rising trend of cashless payments in 2017.[5] He also authored a news article for Republic World[6] and an editorial article for Employment News[7] in 2018.
