The Scania Fencer is an integrally-constructed range of full-size buses produced by Scania and bodied by Higer Bus which was launched initially for the UK market in 2021. It is the first new range of Scania buses for the United Kingdom since the Scania OmniCity, and will be offered in single deck (f1), double deck (f9) and articulated (f18) formats with options for diesel, hybrid and electric drivetrains.[2]

Production of the single-decker Fencer f1 is expected to begin in 2022, with the first Fencer f1 on a new diesel Scania chassis expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. Battery-electric variants with a 300kW electric motor are expected to be completed in late 2022,[1] while double-deck, tri-axle, articulated and coach variants have been confirmed to follow.[3][4] Scania also plans to build the Fencer to Transport for London specification and are also considering allowing other bodybuilders to body the Fencer chassis.[1]

One diesel single decker Fencer f1 has been completed as a demonstrator model on a pre-existing Scania chassis; this has since been sold to PC Coaches of Lincoln.[5] Q-Park Heathrow Airport were the first to place an order for Fencers, ordering four 10.9 m (36 ft) Fencer f1s with DC07 engines on the new integral chassis; these are due to be delivered for airport bus services in May 2022 and are specified with air conditioning and luggage racking.[6]
