Scrobipalpa nigripuncta is a moth in the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Oleksiy V. Bidzilya and Hou-Hun Li in 2010. It is found in Henan, China.[1]
The wingspan is 9–10.5 mm (0.35–0.41 in). The forewings are grey with a pair of diffused black stripes near the base, two stripes at one-third and a diffused black spot at three-fifths. There are black-tipped scales at the base and along the costal margin. The hindwings are grey. Adults are on wing in May.
Etymology[]
The species name refers to the wing pattern and is derived from the Latin prefix nigr- (meaning black) and Latin punctus (meaning small spot).[2]
