Sefako Makgatho

Sefako Mapogo Makgatho (1861, Ga-Mphahlele – 23 May 1951) was a South African politician. He was the second president of the African National Congress.
Makgatho Mandela, the second son of Nelson Mandela, was named after Sefako Makgatho. The Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University is also named after him. He was also a co-founder of the Transvaal Teachers Union which was instrumental in conscientising the Black urban professionals about the politics of Black resistance.
