Selenihalanaerobacter is a Gram-negative, obligately anaerobic and halophilic genus of bacteria from the family of with one known species ().[1][2][3][4] Selenihalanaerobacter shriftii has been isolated from the Dead Sea.[4] Selenihalanaerobacter shriftii grows by respiration of selenate.[4]
