Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore (Urdu: شیخ زید ہسپتال لاہور‎) is a tertiary care Hospital located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is attached with Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Medical and Dental College as a teaching hospital and is part of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Lahore.

Chairman & Dean[]

Prof. Dr. Mateen Izhar (Urdu: پروفیسر ڈاکٹر متین اضہار‎)[2] a renowned Professor of Microbiology & Consultant Medical Microbiologist is currently serving as Chairman & Dean of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Lahore.[3]

Dr. Akbar Hussain (Urdu: ڈاکٹر اکبر حسین‎)[4] is currently serving as Administrator of Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore.

History[]

The hospital was started as a donation from Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and people of United Arab Emirates. It was commissioned on 8 September 1986,

The hospital had 360 beds at the time of commissioning. In 2004, there were 713. Today, there are 1030. All the departments are recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan[1] for FCPS training.

After devolution to Eighteenth Amendment in Constitution of Pakistan it has been devolved to Province of Punjab, Pakistan.
