Shane Todd (born 9 June 1988) is a comedian, television, and radio presenter and actor from Holywood, Northern Ireland.

Career[]

Early career[]

Todd began comedy by posting videos on YouTube, as part of the Harlem Gun Club.

TV, film and radio work[]

In 2008, Todd appeared in films Battle of the Bone and Ape. In 2010, he appeared in L.O.L.

In 2015, Todd appeared in the Dani's Castle episode "The Dead Headz" as Tommy.


He also released a teaser for a sitcom called Application, where he plays a fictional version of himself.[2]

During the Northern Ireland campaign in the Euros 2016, Todd featured on BBC 5 Live.

In July 2016, BBC Northern Ireland commissioned a series from Todd called The Shane Todd Show. It airs Tuesdays on BBC Radio Ulster.[3]

In February 2019, Shane joined the cast of the Northern Irish mockumentary sitcom Soft Border Patrol.

Until late 2019, Todd appeared on the 'Boytown Podcast' with fellow comedian Dave Elliott, acting as Dave's sidekick, before departing when keeping up the facade of a friendship proved too difficult. He also hosts his own podcast called 'Tea With Me'.

Live comedy[]

Todd was the warm-up act ahead of the main Nolan LIVE show in 2014.

Todd was at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 and again at the 2016 festival.[4]

In 2015, Todd had his own stand-up show, "Sick, Bro", which took place in Mandela Hall.[4]

In 2016, Todd had another stand-up show at the Ulster Hall, called From Holywood to Hollywood.

Personal life[]

Todd is the son of Denis Todd and Susan Knight. He has two siblings, brother Luke and sister Sophie.[5] Todd married his girlfriend Stacey Toner in 2018. Todd and Stacey have one son who was born in 2020.[6]

Todd is a supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
